Hands-On History Has Never Been More Fun!
Bring your history year to life with hands-on activities to accompany New World Wonders.
The Activity Guide is non-consumable and full-color, and it walks chapter-by-chapter alongside the New World Wonders American History Textbook. Your children read the chapter. Then they flip to the matching chapter here, where a short bonus lesson deepens the theme and sets up two activities built around it.
Every chapter gives each child a variety of hands-on learning: they will make a Viking helmet with paper mache, craft a quill pen, and play many different games related to the lesson. There are notebooking assignments, geography mapping, and lots of extra historical teaching.
The suggested schedule runs four days a week and finishes the course in one school year. Go faster or slower as your family needs. A supply list up front tells you what to gather each week, so you're never scrambling. A QR code and web address inside the book open a free support site with video tutorials for some of the activities and a Maps and More PDF with printable maps for every geography lesson.
The back of the book holds an optional oral exam, end-of-year writing assignments, and pages of ideas for a colonial celebration to close your year, food, music, games, and décor.
For history your family needs only one textbook and this one Activity Guide, with every child learning together. Available on its own or in the American History Bundle.
