Teach a full year of language arts through the beauty of poetry. Living Verse in Poetry, for ages 6 to 13, covers reading, grammar, syntax, spelling, copywork, and narration, all drawn from whole poems studied closely. Rather than isolated drills and worksheet pages, it uses the Charlotte Mason immersion approach, so children learn how language works from real, living writing.
The same passage stretches a strong writer toward analysis and gives a child with dyslexia, dysgraphia, or attention challenges a short, doable daily step. Different learners work from one lesson, not separate ones.
Each child needs his own copy. Students mark the poem right on the page and read it in front of them as they do the work, so the book is consumable and personal to the child. If you're teaching several children, order one book per student.
